Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Day 2: Gorilla tracking
After eating breakfast, proceed to the park’s administrative center for a ranger-led briefing on gorilla trekking. You will then be divided into groups of eight and allocated a gorilla troop to hike with.
Trek into the Bwindi jungles in search of mountain gorillas. The trek lasts between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements and where they spent the night before (the rangers are aware of their whereabouts). You are permitted to spend an hour with the gorillas once you have located them, taking pictures and observing their activities.

Then, make the trek back to the park’s headquarters to pick up your gorilla trekking certificates before returning to your lodge. In the evening, go for a walk in the Batwa Community to meet the locals, take in some local dance and drama performances, and observe various facets of their way of life. After dinner, go back to your lodge.
Day 3: Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, go to Lake Mburo National Park, which is home to many antelope species, Burchell’s zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffalo, and various bird species. You will stop for lunch en route in Mbarara Town, which is home to long-horned cattle, and then continue on to the park, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. You will go on a game drive en route before heading to Lake Mburo for a boat ride, during which you will enjoy the cool lake breeze and see a variety of animals, including crocodiles, warthogs, and zebras, among others. You will travel to the lodge in the evening to have dinner and spend the night.
Accommodation: Arcadia Lodge
Day 4: morning game drive and departure
After breakfast, go on a morning game drive across the park to take in the limitless views of the rolling hills and various species, including zebras, antelopes, and warthogs, among others.
After leaving the park, take a drive back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at either your hotel or the airport in time for your journey home.
